# How do I record a customer’s debt in the program?

To create a debt, when you collect the payment method and when the program asks for the amount that the customer delivers
You put the amount that they pay you, and you will see as just below it is written in "red" the debt that is going to be generated for the remaining amount.

Once you finish the sale, that debt is in the client’s file (from where we can add contributions)
